Juniper Bank brings down Apple's reputation
Apr 1, 2008
Juniper Bank complaint by Mdiol
As a long time Mac customer, I tend to love their products and applied for the credit card because of the affiliation to Apple.

Boy what a mistake!!

Exact same issues as other postings:

- Last minute statements, late fees, astronomical interest rates......23.9% interest should be charged on gambling debts in the back room of a cigar filled pool hall, not charged to good tree hugging Apple purveyors.

- Late fees $39, I swear I paid it the day after I received the statement yet they seem to find away to not have received my payment in time.

- On initial order and application, I was charged over the limit fee and a late fee with out a statement??

- It never ends, I just received another late fee.

- It's nearly paid off now, but I've probably made someone's boat payment with these fees.

- I have plenty of credit cards, mortgages, utilities, etc... with out a single late fee or charge. Yet one card seems to stand out.

I've worked in banking and product development and I know what sleazy tactics they are up to. Some one call Steve Jobs and ask why the shiny Apple is associated with these rotten scoundrels.

THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.

I opened an account in December. they added the Time Magazine subscription to my account without my authorization. My credit limit was close to being max out. The subscription through me in overlimit. They charged my account and increases apr to the default rate. Time magazine immediately reversed the charges. Juniper Cust.Serv depart. talked to someone who calls herself Kris, Team manager. she said she has no superiors above her. She refused to do anything. Actually said there was no one to petition to. That she was the only one in the Department. This is a scam. Time magazine and Apple should re -think their association with Barclay's. Fiduciary responsibilities are being breached.
