Late fees, payment received a day before actual due date
Mar 26, 2008
Juniper Bank complaint by Sharon_66
I made an electronic payment on a tuesday, payment was due the following saturday. That is at least 3 days, right? Well my payment reached them friday, they didnt process it till monday, therefor, 2 days late.THEY acknowledged they did receive it that friday but since it was the weekend, they didnt process it until monday. THEY admitted to this but raised my APR anyway because of late payment. They also allowed a company to make charges to my account After I told them I did not authorize these charges. My account has been charged late and overlimit fees! Why are they allowed to do this? BECAUSE THEY CAN! THATS WHY! WARNING::::DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JUNIPER!

The same thing just happened with me with First Electronic Bank (Frys). My bank even provided proof of payment on the due date, but they keep saying it takes them 2 days to process, so I have to get it there 2 days before the due date. What's the point in a due date if you really have to get it there 2 days early? And they never told me of this requirement until after I incurred $70 in late fees. I'm still fighting it, but they have so many incompetent people working there, everytime I call them, nothing is accomplished. IDoes anyone know if there is a way I can fight this? I'm not going to give up on this, I would just like to get it taken care of as soon as possible! Thanks!
